Bio

Song Ci (Click here for Chinese name) is an assistant professor of computer and electronics engineering at the College of Engineering of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He also affiliates the Advanced Telecommunications Engineering Laboratory (TEL) of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, located at the Peter Kiewit Institute, Omaha, NE. He received his B.E. from Shandong University of Technology (now Shandong University), Jinan, China, in 1992, M.E. from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 1998, and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2002, all in Electrical Engineering. He also worked with China Telecom, Shandong, as a telecommunication engineer from 1992 to 1995, and with Wireless Connectivity Division of 3COM Corporation, Santa Clara, CA, as a R&D co-op in 2001. From 2002 to 2005, he had been an assistant professor of computer science in the University of Michigan-Flint. From 2005 to 2006, he had been an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is the recipient of the Alvin D. Loving Junior Faculty Award and Golden Apple Teaching Award (nominated by students) at the University of Michigan-Flint.
