Eligibility Requirements

The Beta Psi Chapter of Eta Kappa Nu recognizes the following eligibility requirements for membership in our chapter. Please note: "Junior" and "Senior" refer to class standing at the university, which is determined by total number of credit hours taken.

Undergraduate Students:

• Top fourth of Junior class or top third of Senior class
• 6 credit hours of Electrical Engineering courses completed at UNL

Graduate Students:

• 9 credit hours of Electrical Engineering courses completed at UNL

Invitation letters are distributed to eligible candidates during the first few weeks of every fall and spring semester. After receiving such a letter, it is the candidate's responsibility to prove him/herself worthy of the goals of Eta Kappa Nu by showing interest not only in the organization, but the high goals of service that we emphasize. Only after showing regard to such values throughout the initiation process will a candidate be inducted into membership in the organization.
