Dr. Arnold taught at the University of Nebraska - Omaha for eight years, then returned to private industry where he was part owner of a consulting engineering firm and managed projects for numerous industrial and utility clients. Dr. Arnold rejoined the faculty of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UNL in 1995. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Society for Engineering Education, American Railway Engineering Association and the American Railway Bridge and Building Association.
Research Interests:
Engineering mechanics, power plant design, vibrations, and railroad
support facilities and vehicles.
