Computers on campus are connected to each other via Huskernet. Currently, Huskernet is a 10Mbps Ethernet system. There is an ATM backbone that is being developed and connects a few machines on campus.

[see important note above!] To dial in to the Huskernet Modems, use the phone number 472-5575. It connects at up to 57.6Kbps (14,400 w/o compression), 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. After you are logged in, you use the connect command (which can be abbreviated to just 'c') to connect to a computer.
