Note that since August 2009, the technology components of W128 and W129 Nebraska Hall are now managed by Information Services. You can view their classroom support information. Most information is under the GP Classrooms (GP is General Purpose).

You must have your University Active Directory account to use the computer in the room. If you bring your own laptop or only use the document camera, you don't need an AD account to use the room.

The registration page for to change or set your Active Directory account is located at: https://adactivation.unl.edu/facultystaff.php. You'll want to do this in your office before since there is no way to login to the computer without an Active Directory account. It takes about 10 minutes for your account to be activated.

The above is actually valid for all IS managed classrooms. In the Engineering area, that includes 105, 106, and 110 Othmer.

Most functions are controlled from the front of the cart. There's an LCD screen that you may need to read for information. See a photo

To lower or raise the screen, press the "Screen" button.
To turn the projector on or off, press the "DISPLAY POWER" button and hold for 2 seconds. The LCD screen to the right of the controls tells you to hold for 2 sec.
To switch to the PC being displayed, press the "PC" on the lower row.
To switch to your laptop being displayed, press the "Laptop" on the lower row.
To use the document camera, turn on the doc cam and press the "Doc Cam" button on the lower row
To use the DVD/VCR player press the "DVD VCR" button on the lower row
If you want to blank the screen temporarily, you can press the yellow "DISPLAY MUTE", press again to show the display.

Also note the table can be moved up and down by pressing the the buttons under the left side of the surface. It has 3 or 4 preset heights.
