First, note that currently (07-Sep-1999) you do not have to register for an NT account to use the College NT lab. In the future, this will change. You can check this web page for more info.
To register for an NT account, you need simply to telnet to engrs.unl.edu, and log in using the account name 'ntregist', which has a password of 'ntregist'. This will take you into a simple script which asks a few things about you (such as your Student ID #, Name, email address, etc). It also asks what you want your account to be called. Currently, this is limited to at most 8, lowercase characters and numbers, starting with a character.
Accounts currently have a 500 page/year printing quota.
